Ikken Yado Doudou is a renovated old house that can be rented out as an entire inn.
Enjoy relaxing in the spacious dining kitchen with concrete dirt floor, the living room where you can enjoy reading, and the second floor which still retains the original structure from when the house was built in 1952.

Our hotel faces the old main street of Nio-cho. Next door is Kajito Shoten, a popular local shop, and across the street is the Nakahashi Vinegar brewery, famous for Nio vinegar.
Nio Town once flourished as a port town, lined with shops.
As you stroll through the alleys, enjoying the atmosphere of this town, you will come across wonderful shops, including restaurants serving creative cuisine and long-established bakeries.
Chichibugahama Beach is just a 2-minute drive away, or a 15-minute walk away, so we recommend taking a walk to see the sunset.

Upon Arrival and Before Departure

From the parking lot, go straight towards Kanonji City for about 50m and you will arrive at Doudou.

We kindly ask all guests to use self check-in. You may enter the property anytime after 4:00 PM.

The key can be picked up from the black mailbox located next to the front entrance.

At check-out, please make sure to lock the windows, the front door, and the back door.

Then, place the key in the mailbox next to the front door, close it, and spin the dials to random numbers.

From the parking lot bus stop to the hotel

From the parking lot and bus stop, go straight for about 50m towards Kannonji (towards the black wooden wall of Nakahashi vinegar Brewery). The inn is next to Kajito Shoten, across the path.

Please do not park in places without signs.

Please hold the sliding front door firmly all the way to the end on both sides when locking and unlocking it.

Intercom with camera

Pressing the round button at the bottom will ring the building's chime.

At the same time, it is linked to the mobile phones of staff in remote locations, so when the doorbell rings, we can check what is happening in front of the entrance.

Kitchen and Dining Area

We provide coffee, tea and books so that you can relax and feel like you're in a book cafe.

We also provide frying pans, pots, knives, and other equipment for simple cooking.

Although we have taken measures to prevent insects from appearing, please use the cooling spray provided by the windows.

We provide one baby high chair and one height-adjustable cushion.

Induction stove

① Turn on the power on the far right, ② press the start button for the stove you want to use, ③ press either arrow once to start the stove. Please be careful not to touch it as it will be hot for a while after use (all the lights from 1 to 8 will be flashing).

Electric kettle

Parts other than the handle becomes very hot. Do not touch anything other than the handle during or immediately after use . Please pay special attention to children.

Regarding trash

We keep extra garbage bags in the drawer under the sink.

If your trash can is full, place your rubbish in a spare trash bag and keep it near the trash can.

This is very helpful in determining whether something is trash or something lost.

Air conditioning

Select ①Cooling, ②Heating, or ③Dehumidification and press to operate.

④ Stops the operation,

⑤ adjusts the temperature,

⑥ adjusts the air speed, and

⑦ adjusts the air direction. If you want to turn it off later, press ⑧, and if you want to turn it on later, press ⑨ to set it.

Adjustable high chair

Suitable for babies from around 7 months old.

Seat and footrest heights can be adjusted using the attached Allen key. Currently set for babies aged 7 months to 1 year.

Relax in the Living Room

There is one sofa and three lounge chairs, so everyone can relax and enjoy watching movies together.

You can watch Prime video with the accommodation's account. Please enjoy Netflix and other services with your own account.

There are two remote controls, one for the TV and one for the Fire TV.

A desk is also available and can be used as a workspace.

Please note the step

There is a level difference of about 40 cm between the living room and the dining area.
If you are staying with small children or feel concerned, we can set up a partition upon request. Please contact us in advance.

FireTV

① Turn on the TV with the remote control, ② select HDMI2 with 入力切換 button. ③ Use the Fire TV remote to select and open the app you want to watch.

The FireTV remote control does not control the power or sound on your TV.

When the power is off, the red light underneath the TV will be on.

First aid kit

There are no oral medications, but nail clippers, splinter removers, bandages, a thermometer etc. are available for use.

Air conditioning

The remote control is located diagonally below the air conditioner.

Select ①Cooling, ②Heating, or ③Dehumidification and press to operate.

Press ④ to stop operation, ⑤ to adjust temperature, or ⑥ if you want to turn it off later, or ⑦ if you want to turn it on later.

You can adjust the wind speed with ⑧ and the wind direction with ⑨.

Bathroom and Washroom

The bathroom and washroom have been remodeled for your comfort.

You can dry your laundry using the clothes dryer in the bathroom.

The boiler switch for hot water is located in front of the induction stove in the dining kitchen. The power is usually on, but if it is off, please press the operation button.

It has the following functions: ① Heating, ② Clothes drying, ③ Ventilation, ④ Cool air. When you're done using it, press the ⑤ Stop button to stop it. ⑥ You can also set the timer.

washing machine

There is a washing machine in the room behind the bathroom. ① Turn it on, ② press start, and ③ you can wash on the standard cycle.

For drying laundry, we recommend using the bathroom’s clothes-drying function.

Skin Care Products

We provide cleansing products, facial wash, lotion, milky lotion. Anything that is not individually packaged is property of the lodging facility. Please refrain from taking away.

Rest in the Bedroom

Enjoy the atmosphere of a great author's home, with as much of the original structure as possible preserved from when it was built in 1952.

To prevent accidents, some windows are closed. If you leave other windows open, please be considerate of the volume of your voice at night.

As this is an old building, there are some splinters near the window frames and on the sliding door rails. We have sanded them down as much as possible, but please be careful not to touch them too vigorously and injure yourself.

In addition, the second floor is fitted with tatami mats, which will be difficult to clean if they get dirty. Please refrain from eating or drinking there.

Humidifier

We have ultrasonic humidifiers available. The water inside is replaced after each use.

Emergency lights

As instructed by the fire department, the device is constantly charged. In the event of an emergency, please remove the cable.

It lights up when you press the button, and you can charge it by turning the handle.

Head to the Beach

It takes 2 minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot to reach Chichibugahama Beach. If your feet get dirty after enjoying your time at the beach, you can wash them at the water faucet outside the back entrance.
